Byfield has been our family home for over 20 years and this year it was re-furbished and traditionally styled to welcome guests and give your holiday a warm countryside base to get back to.

Set in the rural castle village of Clifford, Herefordshire, we are four miles north of Hay-on-Wye, the famous book town. Clifford is framed by the river Wye; a canoeing and fishing hot spot.

 

We offer a countryside retreat with immediate access to public footpaths but are also conveniently positoned on the road into Hay-on-Wye, minutes from shops and ammenities.

 

Byfield is located on the border of England and Wales between Herefordshire and Powys rich with History. This area allows you to explore the outdoors as well as enjoy small town antique shops and cosy village pubs. Take a look at our 'Things to do' page for some local activity inspiration.

 

Our holiday home sleeps up to 8 people, great for families, groups, activity holidays and local wedding guest accommodation.
